When you get down from Doi Suthep you can tell the driver to stop at Chiangmai zoo.
Last time that I had visited it was in june 2009 with my husband.
The price of ticket for entrance, Thai person 50 baht, and europien 100 baht.

Free bus transfer to the zoo. It will be stop at station, you can get down any station which you want.
The day that I visited, there are students were visited too.
There is horse for ride around 20 baht each person or you can take a photo with him for 10 baht
Little tigers and you can feed them with beef.

The way around the zoo. If you want to have an excercise you can walk point to point of the zoo.
The street is like the location of the moutain, it will be uping and downing.
If you walk around the zoo from the beginning to the ending, the distance is 7 km.
One service here is high location view with the sky train.
